Dr. Sayeeda Sultana is a distinguished academic and researcher with extensive expertise in Polymer Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry. Currently, she serves as a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Research, Avadi, Chennai. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the Holy Cross College, Trichy, followed by her Master’s degree from the Seethalakhmi Ramasamy College, Trichy with University I Rank, M. Phil degree from Bharathidasan University and doctoral degree from University of Madras.

With over 33 years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Sayeeda Sultana has made significant contributions to academia and innovation. She has authored more than 50 technical articles published in prestigious international journals and conferences and has also published 7 books. As a Principal Investigator, she has successfully led funded projects totaling over ₹2.5 lakhs, sponsored by the host Institution. She has successfully guided more than 40 Projects and 2 students acquired doctoral degree and 6 students pursuing under her guidance.
Dr. Sayeeda Sultana has published and granted with 7 patents based on her research and projects. As a convener she has organized International and National Conferences, Seminars Workshops and FDPs. She has also received various Awards such as Best Academic Administrative Award, Bharath Excellence Award, Mother Teresa Global Award for Excellence, Rising Women of India Award, Life Time Achievement Award and Global Pioneer Leader Award.
